What is Fasting?


Fasting is a Biblical principal of self-discipline through which we abstain from something we desire and devote extra time to prayer.

Types of Fasts

 

Full Fast
Drink only liquids (you establish the number of days).

The Daniel Fast
Eat no meat, no sweets and no bread. Drink water and juice. Eat fruits and vegetables.

Partial Fast
A partial fast is from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm or from sun up to sundown. You can select from three types of fasting —a Full Fast, Daniel Fast or give up at least one item of food.

Non-Food Fast
You can fast social media, television, internet usage, etc.  A great way to experience a breakthrough is to fast something that you feel is keeping you from growing closer to God.  The key is to replace that thing with prayer.
